Join our Wednesday Coffee Hub – Feast of Saint Dominic Savio
On Wednesday, May 6th 2026, we came together in joyful celebration of the Feast of Saint Dominic Savio, the beloved second patron of our parish. It was a truly grace-filled occasion, marked first by a well-attended and prayerful Parish Mass, where we gave thanks for the life and witness of this remarkable young saint.
Though he lived only a short life, Saint Dominic Savio continues to inspire us with his deep love for God, his joyful spirit, and his simple yet powerful resolution: “I would rather die than sin.” Under the guidance of Saint John Bosco, Dominic showed that holiness is not reserved for the few, but is possible for everyone, even the young, through kindness, cheerfulness, and fidelity to daily duties.
Following the Mass, the celebration continued in the Parish Hall, where parishioners gathered for cake and refreshments. It was a warm and lively time, filled with conversation, laughter, and the strengthening of our parish community bonds, something Saint Dominic himself would have delighted in.
A special and heartfelt word of thanks goes to Liz Rose and Gina, whose generous and faithful service through the Coffee Hub brings such life to our parish each Wednesday after Mass. This gathering has become a treasured moment for many, offering a welcoming space for parishioners to meet, connect, and support one another.
We are especially grateful to Liz for baking a delicious cake in honour of the feast day, an act of kindness that added a sweet touch to a beautiful celebration.
The Coffee Hub takes place every Wednesday after the 9.30 am Mass led by our Family & Life ministry. We welcome young mothers with their toddlers for a creative Wednesday morning socialising.
May the example of Saint Dominic Savio continue to inspire our parish, especially our young people, to strive for holiness with joy, simplicity, and love.
