On the 5th June 2026, our Salesian brothers and youth animators hosted the parish’s second faith formation. The theme, ‘Creation’, invited our young people to explore the origins of the world through the Book of Genesis and also the Big Bang Theory. This sparked many insightful reflections and thought-provoking discussions as the youngsters shared their perspectives and engaged with some of the deepest questions we may ask in life:
- How did the universe really begin?
- How does faith and science work together?
- Where does God lie in all of this?
It was truly inspiring to witness their curiosity and willingness to explore the wonder of creation on this day.
Our session included a fun (and very competitive!) buzzer quiz, a ‘chaos and order’ icebreaker, and an engaging presentation by Brother Malachy on the Big Bang, Genesis and God’s purpose in creation.Â
The formation came to a close with refreshments, more games, and by God’s grace, some very delicious pizza. It was a wonderful opportunity for the young people to connect with one another and grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith.
