Forty-Four intrepid parishioners made the journey to the Isle of Wight on 4th June 2026.
Unfortunately as it was such an early start and a long day, Father Anthony wasn’t able to join us this year. However, we set off with the words of the Gospel and his prayers in our ears.
After a trying start with the coach, our driver Mike sped us down the M3 and onto the ferry at Southampton. We were blessed with a calm crossing across the Solent and a very short drive to Osborne House.

We had a lovely time exploring the house and grounds and some of us even made it to the beautiful Swiss Cottage which was designed and commissioned by Prince Albert to teach the royal children the skills they would need to become effective rulers.

The weather remained calm and sunny for us until the very last moments of our visit, when the sky opened and some of us got very wet!
However, all arrived back safely, tired but safely, at OLSD and some in our group were even in time for Adoration. A fitting end to a lovely day. Praise God!
