The Mamma Margherita Fellowship Core Group were very pleased to welcome members and friends to the December monthly meeting which was held at the Parish Hall. The day was full of joy and festive feelings. It was highlighted by the lovely singing of the choir from Saint Bernadette’s School.
Afternoon tea and coffee with delicious mince pies and cakes followed. The children had chocolate biscuits and a drink of squash before returning to school.
The traditional Christmas quiz was moderated by Maralyn Wong and then the raffle was drawn. The birthday celebrants were greeted and given birthday cards. The ‘Thought for the Day’ was by Graham Dorey on the topic of Love, which moved many of the people in the room.Â
The afternoon was eventful and all went home with a smile on their lips, looking forward to the next meeting on 8th January 2026 (click here for more details).
On behalf of the Mamma Margherita Fellowship, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, to the students and teachers from Saint Bernadette’s School, to Maralyn Wong, to Jane Fensome for the flowers, to Maureen for the brandy sauce and mince pies, to the bakers and to everyone that I might have forgotten. Thank you so much.
A very Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.
