Hats for Seafarers

Mamma Margherita Fellowship members have been responding to the call from Stella Maris Charity for seafarers for warm woolly hats.

The photo is of some of our core group having fun modelling the latest batch of hats knitted by Mary Burgess.

Following the receipt of our first batch of hats we received the following email of thanks from Deacon Nick O’Neill who is the deacon responsible for seafarers at Stella Maris Southampton Port:

Thank you, Yvette, we are always so grateful when amazing individuals come together and share their gifts and talents to create woolly hats that are then given to Stella Maris for distribution to the hard-working seafarers. They love the hats as well! They are always received with such gratitude.

Thank you Pat and Mary for being these amazing individuals!

However, this call for knitted hats is not just for older parishioners.  Anyone who has the time to share their gifts in this way, please contact seniors@olsd.org.uk for the pattern.
