There are moments in parish life when words almost fall short, and Holy Week, the Sacred Triduum, and Easter Sunday were truly such moments. The beauty, depth, and prayerfulness of our liturgies were lifted in a remarkable way by the gift of music, and for this, we offer our heartfelt and grateful thanks to our wonderful parish choir.
Throughout these most sacred days of the Church’s year, we could all witness, not just hear, the many hours of dedication, preparation, and love that went into every hymn, every psalm, every note. The music did not simply accompany the liturgy; it drew us into it, helping us to pray more deeply, to reflect more profoundly, and to rejoice more fully in the mystery of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
A sincere and special word of thanks goes to Martin Wood, our Choir Master and Liturgy & Worship Ministry Lead, whose vision, leadership, and commitment continue to enrich the spiritual life of our parish. Our gratitude also extends to Kevin Moturi, his dedicated deputy, and to our gifted Organist, Johann Diaz, whose music truly elevated our worship and touched our hearts.
To every single member of the choir, THANK YOU. Your generosity of time, your talent, and your prayerful service are a true blessing to our parish community. You are not simply a choir; you are a ministry of evangelisation, helping us to encounter the living God through sacred music.
It is no surprise that our choir is admired far beyond our parish, and we are proud and grateful that they will soon be singing at the Confirmation Mass at the Cathedral on 25th April. What a beautiful witness of faith and excellence you continue to offer.
May the Risen Lord bless each one of you abundantly for all that you give so selflessly. Alleluia!
