On Thursday at the Mamma Margherita Fellowship meeting we were led in an entertaining game of Graham Dorey’s version of ‘Countdown’ with Ron Cooper assisting with the numbers. In a close run match, with plenty of seven-letter words two teams tied for first place.
Following tea and coffee and home-made cakes and the raffle, birthday cards were distributed for all the April celebrants.
The notices, featuring the Osborne House trip on the 4th June (more seats available…), the Catholic Women’s League St George’s Day celebration (notices on the notice board) were next.
The meeting was closed with the ‘thought of today’ offered by Eileen O’Connell, ending in a prayer poem by Joyce Rupp from Prayer Seeds, and an excerpt from TS Eliot’s The Four Quartets Little Gidding.
