On the 8th January 2026 we met in the hall and over 50 of our members braved the inclement weather to come and listen to a music recital by ‘Clarinet Jam’. The recently formed clarinet quartet included parish member Jo Wood and three friends, Anne Simon and Andrew who play together in various orchestras. We were given a little background to each of the 12 pieces as they were introduced, and these included various arrangements and some more familiar jazz and ragtime music which had us toe tapping and swaying in our seats. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
This was followed by much chatter as home-baked cakes with tea and coffee were served before the raffle was drawn and notices were announced.

This month we welcomed some new faces and hope they will join us again. Our next meeting will be on 12th February 2026 which will begin with Mass at 2pm, and will continue in the hall with refreshments and entertainment. All are welcome.Â
