Tales from Iran

On Thursday 14th August we had our monthly meeting of the Mamma Margherita Fellowship. After welcoming members old and new, we had an entertaining presentation from Maralyn Wong on her travels in Iran with accompanying photos and Persian rug and copper dish souvenirs display.

It was a very warm afternoon but we still enjoyed tea/coffee and cake. Following the raffle (some happy winners) and notices, our ‘Thought of the Day’ and final prayer were led by Ian Ledgerwood.

Next month we have Tony Strafford, who was a Beefeater, coming to entertain us. This will be followed by Deacon Paul with a ‘Thought of the Day’ and closing prayer.

Date of next meeting: Thursday 11th September 2025 at 2.00pm.
