Oasis Breakfast was a lovely ladies’ gathering last Saturday, April 6th. It took place in the hall of Our Lady of Lourdes & Saint Dominic Parish, and other local parishes’ ladies joined. We listened to music, asked for our prayer intentions, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the Oasis team while sharing our experiences.Â
Mandy also gave us a beautiful talk about her experience during the Easter Triduum, from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday to Holy Saturday, and how meditating on each day helps her personally in her everyday life, which resonated with the others.Â
As it was my first time participating, my first impression was that we could find support, ask for prayers, learn something new, share our experiences and hear testimonials for those passing through difficult times rather than ill health or other life challenges. I felt uplifted afterwards; it was a great way to start the day.Â
The Oasis breakfast happens every first Saturday of each month at 8:30 am, and it has been running for over 10 years.Â
