Choir

At OLSD we love to sing and we have a large, vibrant, enthusiastic, informal choir.  Our aim is to lead the congregation in singing and to choose music which reflects and enhances the liturgy.

The choir sings every week at the Sunday morning 10.30am Mass.

We also sing on feast days, holy days and other big liturgical celebrations.

Anyone who likes to sing is warmly invited to join us.  Just come along and sit in the pews near the organ.

If you like to sing solos there are opportunities to lead the singing of the psalms.  

If you play a musical instrument that would also be very much welcomed.

We have occasional rehearsals, especially before big occasions such as Christmas and Easter.

We sing all styles of music.  Our main source is Laudate but this is complemented by other music such as the Mass of St John Paul II … etc etc
